Profile

Antonio Guiso is currently a Project Manager for CarbonSInk Group S.r.l.  His research topic is focused on the Life Cycle and Environmental Impact Assessment of Agro-Forestry Products. He graduated in Economics at the Università Cattolica of Milan and has obtained a Master’s degree in Carbon Management at the University of Edinburgh. He collaborated in to the development of several Carbon Projects, acquiring experience in the analysis of emissions from energy and mining sectors.

Research interests and PhD project

Antonio’s research interests are related to the assessment and mitigation of environmental impacts of products and supply chains. His PhD Thesis analyzes a project based in Mozambique, with the aim of assessing the potential benefits due to the substitution of traditional charcoal cooking systems. The aim is to quantify the reduction in charcoal use and the resulting economic benefits for the local households and to quantify as well emission reduction throughout the complete charcoal supply chain.
