Profile
Giovanna Piracci holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies at the University of Florence. After graduating she carried out a traineeship at Tuscany Region, EU Liaison Office in Brussels focused on the development and the implementation of the European policies in the Agriculture, Fishery, Forestry, Bioeconomy and Environment sectors. Currently, she is enrolled in a three-year PhD program in Agricultural Economics.
Research interests and PhD project
My PhD project focuses on the study of consumer preferences and willingness to pay for environmental and social sustainability labelling in food products applying experimental methods. My research interests are consumer food choice behaviour, food marketing, experimental economics and discrete choice modeling.
